Picking off the kiddies

After the murder of Paul Stine, Zodiac's letter to the S.F. Chronicle (which included a piece of Stine's bloody shirt) stated:

"School children make nice targets, I think I shall wipe out a school bus some morning. Just shoot out the front tire & then pick off the kiddies as they come bouncing out."

Lets examine this. The children who witnessed Zodiac had given a description of the man they saw, which is how we got the sketch of Zodiac in the first place. Was Z directing his threat at particular kiddies?

A little less than a month later, Zodiac sent the Chronicle the 'Bus Bomb' letter in which he says "If you cops think I'm going to take on a bus the way I stated I was, you deserve to have holes in your heads."

I've said for years now Chad that Zodiac is not making a literal threat here, He's masking a specific threat to the Eight yr old School Kid He knows Id's Him. He uses the school bus as a symbolic reference to represent the school kid. Zodiac never had any intent whatsoever to take on a school Bus because He was speaking  metaphorically and even later admitted He wasn't being literal by declaring:


 "If you cops think I will take on a bus the way I stated I would, You deserve to have holes in your heads."

What about the possibility of Z being a school bus driver? It may be far fetched but might be true. I know we had discussed that before and I think Chad even found a school bus driver who was a merchant marine who had worked as a military PD officer in the Presidio. I'm pretty sure we also discussed the possibility of the threat as being a message towards that 8 year old as well but I can't be certain. I will have to look around the forum and see. I think that is a real possibility.
