The regular season kicks off soon! I will try to update this thread every week to post standings and I will also pick an offensive and a defensive player of the week every week.

My Vikings look great at 3-0 in the pre-season making coach Zimmer a perfect 7-0 in pre-season games as Vikings head coach.

As a Jets fan I must say that I am disappointed with the way the season has started out thus far. Our starting QB had has jaw broken by a teammate during a locker room scuffle. That's a bad sign of what is to come.

My sister is a Chiefs fan, so I kinda follow them. Chase Daniel (Daniels? Daniel?) has looked great, but he has to prove it in the regular season. Smith is not a great QB, but he wins games somehow. I like Jamaal Charles a lot. I think the Chiefs can be really good this year, but they are in a tough division going up against Peyton Manning and the Broncos, Rivers and the Chargers, and I think the Raiders will actually be somewhat decent this year.

I hope David irving makes the team at defensive end, but it's a long shot. He's 6'7" and 275 lbs and really athletic, but needs some work. Mostly needs to be coached up.

The regular season is almost here!!! Did anyone else see the bonehead that intercepted Peyton Manning and celebrated by throwing the ball behind him and out of bounds? He forgot to take a knee first so it was a live ball and the Broncos ended up getting a safety out of it.

Tomorrow is the first round of cuts. Teams must cut their roster down to 75 players and then down to 53 on Saturday.

One of my favorite Iowa State Cyclones of all time, Tom Farniok, is probably going to be cut by the Vikings this week. Booo!!! He goes from my favorite collegiate team to my favorite NFL team but probably won't make the cut. I think there is a very slim chance he makes the practice squad. I hope another team picks him up and gives him a chance because he is a really good center with a high football IQ.

The Vikings cut about a dozen guys today and Farniok survived the first wave of cuts!! Former Cyclone Carter Bykowski was cut by the Vikes, but they plan of re-signing him and placing him on injured reserve since he was going to miss most (if not all) of the season with a shoulder injury.

Former Cyclone Ernst Brun (TE) was cut by the Redskins. Phil Bates (WR) was cut by the Cowboys. Bates played a year and a half at Iowa State before transferring to Ohio. He made a huge catch against Iowa his freshman year that would lead to the game winning ISU field goal.

John Lenz and E.J. Bibbs survived the first wave of cuts by the Browns. Both have a pretty good shot at making the final 53 man roster. I think Bibbs will make it for sure and Lenz is 50-50, but should land on their practice squad at the very least.

I got Brady and Roethlisberger as my 2 QBs for fantasy football this year. Thinking of going with Big Ben as my starter this week.

Some good games today!

Giants are about to beat the Cowboys!!! I fucking HATE the Cowboys.

Rams beating the Seahawks was a nice upset. I think the Rams could be pretty decent this year.

Another thing I liked from today was Marcus Mariotta out-dueling Jameis Winston in their debuts.

The Giants defense really shit the bed there. They are going to be pretty bad this year. Hopefully the Eagles can step up and win that division.

I hear you bro, i hate the Cowboys also. I wish the Redskins could compete for the division this year but it looks like we wont be improving all that much. RGIII might be switching to defense from what i am hearing. The guy is a joke and they should trade or cut him and move on.

"Raiders starting quarterback Derek Carr injured his hand during the second quarter of Sunday's game and did not return. Coach Jack Del Rio told the media after the game that the X-rays on Carr's hand were negative."

Not sure how long he is going to be out.

Vikings sure did suck tonight. Their run defense is abyssmal, and the offensive line was terrible.

My fantasy team dominated this week! I racked up 178 points and it actually could have been a lot more because my bench guys kicked some serious ass. Here is how my guys did:

QB Tom Brady 30 points
RB Jonathan Stewart 6 points
RB DeAngelo Williams 26 points
TE Jimmy Graham 1 point
TE Kyle Rudolph 9 points
WR Odell Beckham Jr. 32 points
WR Calvin Johnson 14 points
WR Antonio Brown 38 points
K Dan Bailey 8 points
Seattle Defense 14 points

Here is what my bench did. Wish I would have started a couple of these guys:

S.F. Defense 2 points
QB Ben Roethlisberger 38 points
RB David Johnson 26 points
WR Steve Smith Sr. 15 points
WR Larry Fitzgerald 29 points
WR Travis Benjamin 68 points!!

Green Bay and New England are looking unstoppable right now and I don't see either team letting up. They have the top two QB's in the league.

thats a hell of a team. my team is 0-3 so far and improvment doesnt look to promising right now. i got eli manning at qb. had romo but cut him after the injury and picked up tyrod taylor. at running back i got jeremy hill, matt forte, starks from green bay and chris johnson. at wr i got fitzgerald, keenan allen, jeramaine kearse, tyler lockett and percy harvin. for tight ends i have jason witten and travis kelce. kicker is dan bailey and i have the rams defense/special teams.

My fantasy team is doing horrible this week. Gonna drop to 1-3.

I don't like the Saints but I'm glad they beat Dallas. Vikings lost a tough one to Denver today. Atlanta crushed Houston to put them at 4-0 for the year. They play 4-0 Carolina next week.

I thought the linos vs seahawks game was going to be fun to watch but its been boring. the lions offense sure is bad. Its surprising since they have Stafford and megatron.
