Mabel Clare Cain

Post by Rocketman on March 9th 2016, 10:42 pm

Does anybody know if Larry was related to a woman named Mabel Clare Cain? I don't think Cain was his real last name (was it? hard to keep track of all his names). Mabel was a former nurse at March Air Force base and was found dead from 6 stab wounds to the abdomen in her Riverside home during Christmas of 1975. Her station wagon was missing. Kane didn't seem like a station wagon type of guy to me LOL!

I could see Kane driving a station wagon and wearing sunglasses, thinking he is in cognito!

He never used that particular variation of the name, nor, to the best of my knowledge, was he ever referred to that way. His birth name was Lawrence Klein.

An interesting find, nevertheless.

Yeah that is pretty interesting, but probably just a coincidence.

I could swear I seen Kane use that spelling 'C-A-I-N' before but I'm not positive.

I'm probably thinking 'C-A-N-E' though.

I think he was buried as "Lawrence CANE" if I am not mistaken.

Yep.

He was interred in the same cemetery as Leo Suennen, Darlene Ferrin's father...

At the time of Larry's death, did he have no living relatives? Does anyone know who his next of kin was listed as at the time? I'm asking because I don't think he could be buried under an alias if he had any living family to verify his REAL name.

But it also says a lot about his character and how shady he was, that he gets buried under a false name.

"Will Never Be Forgotten" Ha. If it weren't for him being a Zodiac suspect I think this would be a false claim to have on his headstone.
