I signed up for a free trial on this site, and in just one night I found a ton of cool articles. I will be back at it tonight. Anybody have anything they want me to look for?
After my free trial was up they charged my 80 bucks for an annual subscription even though they are running a half price special right now. Pretty shady shit, but if I can get them to give me that discount then I will keep it. Otherwise I am cancelling. They do have a lot of newspapers and I have found it very useful.
$80 is way too expensive for something like that. Most of the pictures in those papers are really difficult to see.

I'm gonna call tomorrow because I did not authorize a charge on my card. I'm going to keep the subscription if they give me the half price discount they are offering on their website.
I have found a few photos that are decent quality, but I agree that a good amount of them are poor quality.
Ok, so my subscription isn't up until July 8th, but it's not letting me view any newspapers unless I upgrade my subscription for $139.90 a year. But I do get a $31.24 discount from my current subscription. WHAT?!?!?! I have found a lot of great info from these old newspapers, but this company is a joke. I regret giving them my money.
I have a newspapers.com subscription. I get it for $39.95 per year because I have a subscription to Ancestry.com, too. Things are pretty easy to find and they have a good way of clipping the articles so you can save them. I've had a subscription to newspaperarchive.com and found it way harder to save articles, plus they want a name to start the search. When your looking for a specific phrase you have to get creative.
I thought about signing up for one of these sites but I'm not really good at looking for stuff and there are enough people who use these sites and post things anyways.

40 bucks a year isn't too bad. I would probably renew my subscription for that price.
That's not bad , but call them and ask about the newspapers you are interested in and the years that they have for each paper. I was disappointed when I found out that they didn't have 1968 and newer for the VTH. That was the one I was most interested in. They said that a lot of papers aren't available until 50 yrs have passed.

I was looking for VTH recently too, and noticed they didn't go back that far. I was really wanting to see some articles on that FD strike.
Damn, my subscription is up. No way I'm paying $80 again. If they have a special for a 1 year membership I might sign up again, depending on the price.
