Mitchell Brother's O'Farrell Theater - opened July 4, 1969
This long standing peep show and adult movie joint (among other things) opened on the day of the July 4, 1969 Blue Rock Springs zodiac attack.

Have often wondered if the zodiac would have found himself in an adult movie theater. Did he enjoy being a peeping Tom/voyeur and that was why he frequented lover's lanes watching couples and young women at swimming holes?

Hmmm. That wasn't all that far from where Stine picked Z up in Oct. '69, correct? I think he definitely could have been a porn freak type of guy.

If I'm not mistaken, I believe a police station was bombed in San Fran. on that day as well. I will have to look into that more. Especially given Zodiac's bomb diagrams in letters. I would bet the bombing on that very same day is most likely a coincidence.

Jim shot and killed Artie in 1991. Jim passed away in 2007. Jim's son was sentenced to 35 years in prison a few years ago for killing his ex. Weird family. Supposedly Jim and Artie's mother would sometimes cook roadkill for dinner.
Charlie Sheen and Emilio Estevez played the Mitchell brothers in a movie called Rated X.

Not sure about a tie to Thompson, but you are lucky to meet Marilyn!

Re: Mitchell Brother's O'Farrell Theater - opened July 4, 1969
just thought I would add this that july 4 69 there was a movement / push for couples ,singles to do something wild here in the midwest ,was it nationally known ? mostly in the straight arrow parents community. I slept over at a older friends house on 7/2 /69 and he and his friends were talking of it , his mom and Dad had a clothing opptional party at his and a next door couples home many parents in the neighbor hood were going .
I was a bit bummed because we had fireworks shot off on the 3rd and 5th and the friend had to stay at his , according to them the friends , my parents went out & I had to stay in baby set by my sis .
Because this was the end of the sixties sex revolution and the 7/4 /69 was a last good day to celebrate it was chosen I heard. If you had not done much in the swinging sixties this was your last chance to do something , so you would have a story of interest in the future to tell & remember
I think it was a bit of a nationally organized movement

I will have to ask some of my relatives if they remember this. My parents would have been in their early 20's at the time and my uncle Gordon would have been 25-ish. They used to party a lot too so there's a good chance they would remember.
