Stine sketch
Any and all things related to the Stine sketch can be posted in this thread.
This description is based on the man seen by the young girl who lived across the street from the scene of the crime, as well as officer Donald Fouke, who spotted the suspect walked down Jackson St. just a few minutes after the murder.

Re: Stine sketch
Which suspect does everyone think looks the most like the sketch?
I honestly don't think I could pick one. I don't think any of the suspects look that close really.

Re: Stine sketch
It's tough for me - zodiac seemed to insist that he changed the way he looked so as to confuse authorities. Who knows if he actually did change up his physical appearance OR if maybe the "multiple disguises" act was a way of Making a group or team of killersappear to be a lone individual. I've been wondering more and more if the Zodiac was a team effort - that the 3 symbols on the Halloween card are indicative of 3 different murderers. 1 being the murderer that killed Cheri Jo, 2 being the target symbol (minuteman?) costumed Zodiac at the lovers lanes, and 3 being the one who killed Stein? Who knows.

Re: Stine sketch
What I think is that Zodiac started out solo, but after the murder of Cheri Jo he met his "partner" (which I believe to be Fred Manalli) and they thought up the Zodiac "character" together. I think it's very possible that other people became involved later, at some point, but I'm not too sure. But I do believe there was one person writing the letters and at least one person doing the killing.
The Stine sketch and LB sketch look nothing alike, IMO, but we don't know if the person in the LB sketch is actually Zodiac or just some creepy dude that was at the lake that day.
I am pretty damn sure that Fred Manalli was the one writing the letters. I wonder if he went with Z on any of the killings. I also think that Manalli is responsible for the Santa Rosa Hitchhiker murders, and I wonder if this is when he grew the balls to do some killing himself, or if Zodiac still did the killings and Manalli was still the "partner."
Rumor is that Manalli had drawings of Kimberly Allen's dead body that were accurate to the way her body was found. If this is true, which I think there is a damn good chance, then Manalli had to have at least been present at the time of the murder.
I think there is a pretty good chance that the attacker of Cheri Jo is also the attacker of Faraday/Jensen, Ferrin/Mageau and Hartnell/Shepard. The Stine attack is a pretty big puzzle. I could see another person, a 3rd person (other than Zodiac and Manalli) committing this murder.
One of the reasons we started this forum is to further discuss the "group theory," which I think has a higher chance of being true than the lone person theory that most people believe is true.

Re: Stine sketch
Lake B sketch looks like Houghton imho - might explain the Minutemen symbol used with the lovers lane murders.
I do agree that someone may have been writing the letters while he and others killed.
Did manalli have any connections to the Minutemen?

Re: Stine sketch
I haven't found any connection between Manalli and the Minutemen. I doubt there was a connection, but it is possible.
Re: Stine sketch
Manalli has to have some connection. More curious about his drawings resembling Kim Allen's body/crime scene. who knows maybe it was a team effort even with CJB.

Re: Stine sketch
I agree. I think he more than likely wrote the Zodiac letters, and was present during Kim Allen's murder and probably the other Santa Rosa Hitchhiker murders. Was he the one murdering the hitchhikers or was he the "partner" just like I think he was in the Zodiac murders?
Re: Stine sketch
Almost no one over at that big site would even accept it could be two men especially the mods
The two very different composites the napa one is drawn with blue irises ( I asked a artist he confirms yeah thats how you draw blue eyes)
I think ALA had men that set him up as the patsy the first rule of scuba diving is dont go alone so who were his partners
Z even mentioned SCUBA in letter

Re: Stine sketch
Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but to just throw out the idea that more than one person could be involved is pretty crazy. Nobody knows for sure. I think that ALA is the best suspect on paper and it sucks he was thrown out as a suspect due to DNA. I really wish there were a way to find out if ALA and Fred Manalli knew each other.
Re: Stine sketch
so if Manalli was just the partner then obviously he doesn't have to fit the sketch, that would be the one who was the actual killer. so who has the best fit for the sketch?

I have seen quite a few people who fit the sketch. It's hard to say for sure...

The hair is right, but I'm not as sold on the facial features as everyone else. He is still probably the closest I have seen as far as suspects go but the kid from the yearbook that was posted in another thread looks perfect compared to the sketch. That kid was ruled out though right? I think he was out of California when the Z murders were happening.
