Crooked cues & twisted shoes Empty Crooked cues & twisted shoes

'And all billiard players. I shall have them play in a darkened dungeon all with crooked shoes & twisted shoes.'

Anybody know what this means?

This 'little list' letter might just be the oddest and creepiest of all Z letters.

I have no idea what it means. I couldn't even make a guess. Maybe it was a commonly used expression back then?

It's a derivation of a line featured in The Mikado -

http://themargins.net/anth/19thc/gilbert.html

The advertising quack who wearies
With tales of countless cures,
His teeth, I’ve enacted,
Shall all be extracted
By terrified amateurs.
The music-hall singer attends a series
Of masses and fugues and ‘ops’
By Bach, interwoven
With Spohr and Beethoven,
At classical Monday Pops.
The billiard-sharp whom anyone catches
His doom’s extremely hard—
He’s made to dwell
In a dungeon cell
On a spot that’s always barred.
And there he plays extravagant matches
In fitless finger-stalls,
On a cloth untrue
With a twisted cue
And elliptical billiard balls.

Ah!! Thanks for clearing that up. The Mikado is something I really haven't got around to studying up on yet.

I am sure what your meant to take away from the Mikado is ...three.  "three little maids are we"

I think there was an old woman in S.F. who had something to do with a production of the Mikado in San Francisco and her last name was Stine.

EDIT: It was Isabel Stine. https://zodiackiller.forumotion.com/t238-oliver-isabel-stine

I am into fitness and always prefer getting carbon 38 fitness gear because of their unbeatable product quality, that too at very low prices! The Carbon38 workout leggings and tops are super trendy. They are becoming quite popular among the women because the designs are very unique.
