Oh, shit. I didn't hear that news. Yeah, must be a QB they are going after otherwise it doesn't make sense to trade up to #2. Do you know what they gave up for the #2 pick?
I'm gonna have to check out the new mock drafts.
Re: :::Official 2016 NFL Thread:::
have you seen the preposed Jamaal Charles trade to Dallas ? for only a 5th and 6th round pick Whaat?
He should be ok after coming back he was 1/2 the chiefs offense for 2-3 years maybe the most dangerous back when he is in the open field ,very good reciever even way down field , same for blocking the blitz. Too bad he sat on the bench his first 3 seasons in favor of Larry johnson who the GM luuved for some reason and poured more cash on him when he wasn't good. I wish he would stay but we have West . davis and another guy who are very good too and cheaper I would let Davis go before Charles
The pats were trying to get him in 2014 man that would have been a tough team
I say they Dallas has to take Alex smith too and we get Romo

LMAO what a joke of a trade proposal that is. Alot of KC fans would be pissed if they accepted that offer. Cowboys are better with bigger power backs IMO, and Charles is a better fit in KC's offense.

Re: :::Official 2016 NFL Thread:::
This is going to be a weird draft. Top two picks will be QB's and both are guys who could be hit or miss. I think the Rams will be taking Jared Goff and Wentz will go to Philly. I hope the Vikings get Treadwell at #23 and then get a couple good defensive players after that, and maybe another decent offensive lineman to add some depth. It will be interesting to see what they do with the starting 5 with Loadholt and Sullivan back, and they have a key back up who was out last season with an injury. Carter Bykowski (former Cyclone!).
Re: :::Official 2016 NFL Thread:::
I think the Rams will draft Goff also but they must upgrade the WR Corp as well. Goff needs guys to throw to. Their line is ok but could be better and the defense isn't half bad. But they still gave up too much for the #1 pick.

Agreed that they gave up too much and they do need help at WR and TE, but I think if their rookie QB performs well then they are a playoff team.

Re: :::Official 2016 NFL Thread:::
Screw the Rams but seriously, they could actually be good if they get a franchise QB, I agree. They have done really well in the past couple drafts and have some young talent. Gurley could end up being a really good RB.
Re: :::Official 2016 NFL Thread:::
I usually do a mock draft of my own every year, but this year I'm just doing the 1st round because walterfootball.com is having a contest. The top prize is $350 so I'm gonna get crackin' on that! I will post my picks as soon as they are done.

That's a good mock but I don't see 4 QB's going in rd 1. I don't think KC will go that route but Denver certainly could go with Lynch or Cook.

I think SD will take Tunsil at 3 and the Cowboys will take Visa at 4 and the Elliott will go to SF, Cleveland, Chicago or Miami. Other than that I think you are dead on with all of the other picks.

We'll see how accurate I am this weekend. The draft is very unpredictable. I think there will probably be 2-3 trades in the 1st round, not counting the trades that have already taken place.

Very very unpredictable. Mel Kiper Jr and all of the other 'experts' can't even predict what happens in the draft.

True! That is one of the reasons why I love the draft so much. And it is exciting to see what your team does and who they add at what positions.
Re: :::Official 2016 NFL Thread:::
You didn't do too well on your mock draft. This draft has been a weird one. Alot of surprises alot of trades.

Re: :::Official 2016 NFL Thread:::
What a weird draft indeed. Nobody did well in their mocks. I'm pretty happy with what the Vikings did. Treadwell will replace Mike Wallace, and I think he is a better fit since Teddy B doesn't throw the deep ball all that much. Alexander in round 2 was a bit of a surprise. I'm guessing one of their CB's will move to safety, probably Newman. I also love the WR out of Germany that the Vikings drafted. 6'4" 230 lbs and runs a 4.43 40 yd dash! He is just going to need some coaching, but in time I think he could be really good. I also like the LB they grabbed in round 5, Kentrell Brothers. I don't know much about the O-Lineman they got in round 4, but I hope he is good and provides some solid depth.
Re: :::Official 2016 NFL Thread:::
I like what my Jets did. Got a QB to compete in case Fitzpatrick goes elsewhere. Darron Lee is a stud I love that pick. Jordan Jenkins was a great pick also.

I would have to say the Browns had the best draft out of all the teams.

Just saw theJets got an Iowa State kid a WR named Qunetin Bundrage. Oph, what can you tell me about him? Will he have a shot to make the final roster?

Bengals are getting some good ones. They got that QB Travis Wilson from Utah.

Bundrage is very quick. His acceleration is impressive. He had a really good sophomore year, tying the school record with 9 receiving TDs, but he missed his entire Jr. year with a torn ACL. It happened on the opening drive of the first game. He bounced back this year and did pretty well. He had issues with dropped passes in his first two seasons, but was better in that area this year. I'd say he should have a shot to make the team, but I would be surprised if he did make the final cut. I think he will end up playing in the Arena league or another indoor league. I do hope he makes it in the NFL though.

I like what they did. They should be ok this year. Corey Coleman makes a fine replacement for Travis Benjamin. Getting Scooby Wright at the end of the draft was awesome. He only fell that far due to injury but if he gets healthy he could start in the future. Ogbah will probably start right away and upgrade the pass rush and Carl Nassib is a good pass rusher but will be a back up for a year or two I think. Cody Kessler at QB might be a good pick I don't know at the moment. I think McCown will start anyways but RGIII could push him for the job and Kessler will probably sit and learn for a year or two. Spencer Drango and Rashard Higgins were great additions late. Drango is a beast and Higgins may be the most underrated player in the entire draft.
