Did you see former Georgia QB Jacob Park is in Ames right now? He was a 4 star then redshirted at Georgia and was at a junior college this year. He could start for you guys this coming year if he commits to the cyclones.

Yep!! That would be huge if he became a Clone. The new coaching staff has been in Ames less than 2 months and are already kicking some serious ass getting new players in to the program. Park hasn't played a down of football since high school (2 years ago), but he is really good and could compete with Lanning for the starting job. And they brought in Kyle Kempt (formerly of Oregon State), so the QB depth will be good the next couple of years.

We just snagged a great Tight End who was expected to commit to Jim Harbaugh at Michigan, and Monday OT Alaric Jackson will announce his decision. It's between ISU, Iowa and Nebraska. This kid is really good and it would feel awesome to steal a kid away from Iowa. They think they are a lock to land this kid.

I was listening to Freddie Coleman on sports rado a bit ago and he was talking about how it is a great year to be a Hawkeye fan. They just missed the football playoff and now they are #3 in basketball. I bet that chaps your ass Ophion. lol

Irving ended up going to Dallas midway through the season and he looked like a stud. Raw but a ton of potential.

George Niang had a big game last night in an OT road loss to Baylor. Niang passed "The Mayor" Fred Hoiberg to move into 3rd all time on the ISU scoring chart and also eclipsed the 2,000 point mark! Congrats, Georges! I'm really gonna miss this guy next year. He's a hell of a player and a match up nightmare for opponents. It's too bad his Senior season hasn't been full of wins like it was expected to be.

Excited to see the Big 12 tourney - ISU vs Oklahoma! That's going to be a good matchup. I think OU wins but ISU has won 6 straight games in this tourney and 2 championships in a row. Good luck Cyclones.

At my job, I take calls for a bunch of funeral homes around the country. Most of the calls I get are from nurses calling to report a death. Just a little bit ago I got a call from a nurse calling to report the death of former ISU football coach Donnie Duncan. Although he was ISU's coach before I was even born, it still made me sad to be hearing that he had passed away. Coach Duncan was a legend. He was a great High School football coach and assistant college coach as well as being the Athletic Director for the Oklahoma Sooners. Coach Duncan was at Iowa State in the early-mid 70's.

RIP Coach!!

R.I.P. coach Duncan, I remember him being at Oklahoma in the 80s and 90s.

What do you think of the Clones drawing Iona in the hoops tourney?

Iona is pretty good. They have A.J. English who is one of the best players in college basketball and he has a great supporting cast. If ISU can stay out of foul trouble I think they will be ok. Niang has to put the team on his back and carry them. One loss and his collegiate career is over. I'm glad I get to see him play once before it's all over.

ISU vs Arkansas Little Rock in a couple hours. Winner advances to the Sweet 16. Go Clones!!

Good performance from ISU today. Virginia will be a good matchup for them on Friday.

I think we got a good chance to win. And with Michigan State out, we could possibly make the Final Four.

Former Cyclone and current NBA player Bryce Dejan Jones was shot and killed last night. Apparently he tried to kick down his ex gf's door but got the wrong apartment and was shot in the stomach and bled to death.

RIP. One of the very few talented ISU kids who actually got to play in the NBA. Most of them end up in the D-League or overseas. Jones actually started 11 games for NOLA last year.

It seemed like he was settling in nicely in the NBA and probably would have played significant minutes next year.

R.I.P. BDJ. I didn't care for him when he was at ISU because he had a shitty attitude and was probably a distraction to the rest of the team, but he was a Cyclone so I liked seeing him succeed in the NBA.

I saw that Jauan Wesley was booted from the football team. That makes 2 starting WRs gone since Campbell has taken over.

Yep. Lazard is going to have to stay healthy and have a monster season. I think some younger guys will step up and the loss of Wesley and Montgomery will not be as bad as most people think it will.

Cyclones had 2 football recruits commit today - 3 star DB Octavious Morgan and 4 star offensive guard Caleb Chandler. They are putting together a really nice recruiting class.

Yep! Huge day for ISU football!!!

They are now ranked 35th in the nation in recruiting so far.

Two more new recruits, both 2 stars I believe. A TE and an in-state O-Lineman. These are the two lowest rated recruits in the class, but I think the TE will end up being a 3 star.

14 commits so far, that is crazy compared to the previous staff.
