'Betty Lou' classified ad

Approximately 7-10 days before the murder of David Faraday and Betty Lou Jensen, there was a strange personal ad placed in the Vallejo Times Herald. Nobody would probably think much of it at the time, but being that close to the murder makes it seem as though it could have been in regards to Betty Lou Jensen. What are your thoughts?

The phone number did indeed belong to a Janet White of Sacramento. We will have to do some digging on her. She was married to Mr. Allen S. White, and they lived at 2611 Norbert Way in Sacramento. Janet Haas was her maiden name.

Allen S. White died on April 4, 1970. He was a graduate of the University of California at Berkeley and was trained in Canada in the fields of mining engineering and geology. He was a veteran of WWI.

Never seen that before. Wish there was more info on this.

Did he die of natural causes do you know? Just curious since he died not all that long after.

Weird ad. The timing makes even more weird. Betty Lou was a common name back then but it still could have been meant for her. If so - does this mean that Jensen knew someone was after her? That would mean she was being targeted and was not a random victim. If this is true then she probably saw or heard something that she shouldn't have. That would mean that Janet White knew Jensen was in danger and other people may have known also. Someone would have probably come forward after she was murdered. And for that reason I would say that this was probably not meant for Betty Lou Jensen but it is still worth investigating.

Why place an ad in the paper? That is the other question I have. Why not just contact her in person? I could see if the subject matter was something that would scare Mrs. White from contacting Betty Lou by phone or in person, but by placing that ad she is putting her name out there. If she knew someone was after Betty Lou then why let the person or people coming after Betty Lou know your name and that you know something. That is like saying "hey, Betty Lou told me what is going on and now I am a threat to you as well. Come and get me!" Doesn't make sense.

I don't really know what to make of this, but the 'wow factor' is there! Has anyone tried to reach out to Janet White?
