Assuming that the image above is a genuine facsimile and not an artistic (re)interpretation, it goes a long way toward illustrating just how much difference a high-resolution scan can make with regards to the visibility of character formations and flourishes. Notice, for example, the curling tail end on the letter d, which appears to be little more than a speck of ink in the copy posted upthread -
Something to bear in mind re: handwriting comparisons.
