Who really called the Dunbar show?

Does anyone know how it was determined that Eric Weill was the caller? Did the police do a background check on him or did they think it was not important since he was in a mental institution? Where is the documentation that says it was Weill?

In this video you hear a clip of the man who called the Dunbar show followed by Weill asking Bob Dylan a question at a press conference? I'm not saying it can't be him, but the voices do not sound very similar to me.


Perhaps Weill did call but was talked into it by Z? Maybe they were in a mental facility together? Maybe Z made that call himself? I wonder if the cops checked out everyone who was in that facility at the time.

Why is it that Weill's name does not show up in any FBI file? Not that I have seen anyways.

"Daniel Williams received 10 phone calls from a man claiming to be Zodiac. He told Daniel that he was going to kill the lady in the blue house. He also said something like Daniel was a dead duck. He also said that he was hunting children at the school in Martinez, but that there were police there so he wasn't able to. Daniel came home one day to find that someone had tried to break in. He called the police but nothing was missing. After they left he went to get a soft drink out of his frig. He took a drink and tasted something metallic, so he spit it out and called the police who had the drink tested and it had arsenic in it. I always wondered that to how did they come up with Weill. I get that they traced the call to whatever facility he was at but how they know it was him and where is the documented evidence of it like you said.

I agree that those are probably two different voices. Recording equipment back then wasn't all that fancy so it could be the same guy but I'm not hearing it.
