S.F. Church Of Satan

We all know that the late 60's were a very strange time in the bay area. There were many groups, organizations, cults and straight-up weirdos running around. And then you have a serial murderer who calls himself Zodiac. I'm surprised the Church Of Satan has not been discussed on this forum yet.

My POI was a member of the Church in the early 70's. I will eventually start a thread on my POI, but for now I would like to gather some thoughts from others on the Church and their possible involvement in the Zodiac murders.

I also must mention that my POI was very close friends with film maker and Church Of Satan member Ken Anger. My POI did some behind the scenes work on a couple of Anger's films.

It's possible that Zodiac (or team Zodiac, or whatever) was a member of a cult, religious group, political group etc... I can't wait to see some info on your POI.

I think Zodiac was a little interested in the CoS and ran around with a few members but never joined himself because he just wasn't into organized religion although Anton LaVey tried relentlessly to get Z to become a member of his church. This is all just opinion btw and I have nothing to base this on, just a hunch.

this might tie-in to the 'orange theory' I think.

I read the "Many faces of Zodiac "link. Interesting but he had the date of Darlene's death as May 5th 1969 so that it fit into his theory? I do agree however on many of what he showed as possibly being correct. Like the number 11 and the letter K. I can only go by my own experiences. Like all of the satanic things put in my front yard, dead animals, burnt upside down cross .The letter K was carved on the top of my garbage can in the 1990's. That was while I was doing my own investigation into Larry Kane AKA Kaye. As it turned out my suspect who looked like Kane, was still very much alive after Kane's death. So I now have to find out what his name is? I have a little list of who I may have missed.
