March Madness

I will be posting the bracket on here once it is all set in stone. I love filling out these things every year and seeing who picks the biggest upsets. As of right now I am going with Michigan State to win it all.

It's gonna be a hard year to pick winners. There are no teams that are really playing at an elite level. I hope Michigan State doesn't win. I always want the Big 10 teams to get knocked out early. I would rather see a Big 12 team win, and not Kansas. Oklahoma would be cool, but I'm hoping my Cyclones will go pretty far.

One thing you will hear me say many times during a college basketball season... Fuck Kansas!!! Cheating cock smokers. It's insane how much favor they get from the Big 12 conference and the officials at games.

Here is one example. 2004 Iowa State misses a free throw. It's a 2 shot foul. Kansas gets the rebound and goes down to hit a 3 pointer. But it was only the first foul shot so the refs should have called everyone back to give the ISU player his 2nd shot. Nope. Well, actually, they did give the guy his 2nd foul shot, but they still counted the 3 pointer by Kansas. What the fuck?!?!?!?! Probably the worst sports call I have ever seen.

You are right, it will be tough to fill out the brackets.

TCU upset Texas Tech. Tech was a bubble team so they will have to settle for the NIT now.

Say how did that recent ISU vs KU game end up ?

I'm not a big College BB fan just cool to see the top talent Kansas gets ...doubt I even watch the tournament ( just the highlites )as the final 4 & on, is pay TV only

Iowa State had the game won but they were dead tired at the end and blew it. But they have won I think 5 of the last 7 against Kansas or 5 of 8, something like that, so they have had their number. Nobody else can say that.

I just watched ISU vs Oklahoma in the Big 12 tournament the other day and that was a good one. ISU almost made an amazing comeback but came up short. Or I should say Niang almost made an amazing comeback. He was awesome in the 2nd half of that game. He and Hield scored a combined 70 points! And then last nights OU vs West Virginia game was crazy. Hield hit the game winner from beyond half court but they didn't count it.

Texas A&M crushed LSU today 71-38. #8 Oregon is destroying #12 Utah. Purdue pounded Michigan and will face Michigan St. tomorrow in the conference title game. A&M will face Kentucky in the SEC championship. Kansas beat WVA for the Big 12 title.

Niang was lights out. That may have been his best game ever. He got off to a great start and then had to sit for a long time in the first half due to foul trouble. If you watch games, Niang gets called for bullshit fouls all the time. That's why I'm glad we won't have to deal with the Big 12 refs in the NCAA Tournament. Kansas will not be getting that helping hand that they are used to. Big 12 officiating has been horrible for as long as I can remember, but this year it was out of control most of the time.

For upsets I'm going Northern Iowa over Texas, Buffalo over Miami, Temple over Iowa, UNC Wilmington over Duke, VCU over Oregon State, Butler over Texas Tech and Gonzaga over Seton Hall.
