The season is officially underway, although preseason kickoff is still months away. Right now teams are still trying to figure out what to do with remaining free agents, while also preparing for the upcoming draft.

Well we ...Chiefs need a new defensive back
Abdulla our free safety ...a good one
Wimped out and retired today   ...turns out 5 concussions is his limit.
Hey maybe we have him declared mentally incompetent , you know because of the brain injuries and keep him playing ...I see another couple of years for this guy

Abdullah wasn't bad, but they can probably find a replacement who is just as good or better. I was impressed with Peters, the rookie they had as a cornerback this year.

I wonder if the Browns will still draft a QB at #2 now that they have signed RGIII and they still have McCown who might have a couple decent seasons left in him.

Who do they Titans take at #1? Tunsil would make sense as he is a top 5 guy and the #1 OL in the draft and they need to protect Mariotta. But I could see them taking Jalen Ramsey since they need secondary help big time. Maybe Joey Bosa? I'm not sure how their defensive line looks.

Why the hell is the draft not until the end of April? It gets pushed further back every year. It should be the first weekend of April. Right after the NCAA basketball tournament ends. We have to go the whole month with no good sports.

If I'm Tennessee, I take Tunsil. Like you said, they need to protect their franchise QB. But it would be hard to pass up on Ramsey. I think Ramsey goes at #3 to the Chargers and the Browns will likely take a QB at #2. It should be Wentz (from North Dakota State) or Goff (from California). With RGIII, they won't have to rush putting a rookie QB on the field and can develop that draft pick for a year.

Joey Bosa should go #4 to the douchebag Cowboys, but they could also be considering LB Myles Jack or a QB, Wentz or Goff, whichever the Browns don't take. The smart move would be a QB, because they completely fell apart when Romo got hurt. Bosa is really good though, and would really give them a solid pass rush. I hate the Cowboys so I hope they take someone who ends up being a shitty player.

I hope the Jets get it together this year. I usually have a good idea what they will do in the draft but this year I really don't know.

I don't think there is much value in Alex Smith. He's a good QB and can win games, but he is not an All-Pro type. I think the best they could get would be a 5th round pick. Maybe.

17 mil a year? That's too much but look at what some free agent QBs have been getting. Osweiler is getting over 10 mil a year from Houston and he hasn't even proven himself in the league yet.

Shows you just how desperate teams get for a quarterback.

McCown was good when healthy last year so I doubt RGIII will be guaranteed a starting spot but it will be good to have 2 capable guys who can take the helm.

Yeah, Marcus Peters. He had an amazing rookie season. The Chiefs defense was really good this year.

Will Smith of the Saints was murdered last night and looks like his wife was shot as well. Scary. RIP.

Yeah Ophion  I think the Chiefs were  a couple of players away from a trip to the big game and that hasnt been so for a long time
I think a different QB is the answer  Smith was just capable of beating medium strength teams ,if a team came out making long passes  and scoring quick we were in trouble  Daniels could do it in pre season alot of fans wanted him to get a try this past year
Hope #50 is going to be the same player
I wonder how much payton would take to
Qb for us 1 time

Chiefs are one of the most complete teams in the league. They have less needs than most other teams. QB isn't their biggest concern, but if they can draft a kid say in round 2 and groom him then that would be a good option. I think they need a good offensive lineman in round one and they could use a good wide receiver as well.

Rams now have the #1 pick. They are likely going to take Wentz, but could be taking Goff. I'd say a QB is the sure pick. But they gave up way too much for the #1 pick.

Titans receive from Rams:
1st round pick (15 overall)
2nd round pick (43)
2nd round pick (45)
3rd round pick (76)
1st round pick in 2017
3rd round pick in 2017

Rams receive from Titans:
1st round pick (1 overall)
4th round pick (113)
6th round pick (177)

Uncle Fester
do you think the rams will go over well out there?
sure if they close to making the playoffs or do, there should be a lot of support , but if they are 2,3 games from it ? what kind of stadium ,domed ?
swealtering in the sun to watch 3,1/2 hours of football with 30 min of actual action through binocs never was my thing either

I lived in LA for a couple years a looooooong time ago and I can tell you that they will turn on a team that isn't winning games. The Rams were better off staying in St. Louis where they have a devoted fan base.

L.A. doesn't deserve an NFL team. There is a reason teams have left in the past. Besides, that city has enough. St. Louis doesn't have much, but they do have a ton of rabid sports fans I can tell you that much.

And, yes, that trade was a massive fuck up on their part. I guess the pressure of drafting a QB made them trade away their future. They better hope they evaluate Goff and Wentz down to every tiny detail and make sure they get the right guy.

Eagles now have No. 2 pick, loks like they will take whichever QB the Rams do not take between Wents & Goff. Bradford will probabaly be traded soon.
